To clean the water pump, first open the pump casing and blow clean the inside of the pump casing with an air source. Visually inspect the casing pad and ensure that there are no obvious damages such as cracks or scratches. Otherwise, it should be replaced. Visually inspect the pump casing and ensure that there are no deformations or cracks. The joint surface should be smooth, undamaged, or scratched. Otherwise, it should be repaired or replaced.
Precautions for cleaning the water pump: When cleaning the pump body, be careful not to damage maintenance personnel. If the pump body is repaired by welding, fire protection measures should be set up to prevent fire. Clean and inspect the rotor components, clean the rotor components, use non combustible cleaning agents to prevent fire. Use a deflection instrument to measure the straightness deviation of the pump shaft and the circular run out value of key parts. Check the pump shaft for scratches, burrs, or corrosion. The keys and key ways should fit tightly. If the pump shaft is bent excessively, it can be straightened. If the surface is damaged or corroded, it can be repaired or replaced.
Check the impeller, and ensure that the corrosion, wear, and cavitation of the impeller do not exceed the standard. If cracks, damage, and deformation are found, the impeller must be replaced with a new one. Clean and inspect the impeller ring and shell ring. The surface of the ring should be smooth and free from obvious deformation, corrosion, and defects during appearance inspection. Otherwise, it should be repaired or replaced. If it does not meet the requirements, it should be repaired. The pump products that require regular cleaning include various sewage pumps, diaphragm pumps, or various oil pump products.
